Tool #2 Building Community & Comments

I believe that being able to communicate and exchange experiences with other educators enables teachers to create a more successful and positive classroom environment.
Communicating with others using technology is a great way to close distance gaps that may exist. The impact that technology has nowadays on everyday life is tremendous and both educators and students must stay up to date and use it in every possible way to enrich communication which is so necessary between educator and student(s).
An important aspect of this new 21st century learning process is that we are not alone in it. For many people it implies learning new skills, new technology, but we all have a common goal: helping our students become successful.

  1. We all have new skills to learn because new ones become available every day! I'm glad you point out that we are not alone -- we just need to remember to reach out to others when we have questions.

  2. At the beginning I thought of all the ways to communicate with our peers too but as I looked more into it I realized how many ways of incorporating this with every day learning there are. Even for the little ones, there are ways to learn. We are getting computers and itouches in our own rooms and this will be an amazing change.
